Hanging Out Today
I had it all planned out. We take the 9:57 Long Island Railroad train to Penn Station. We stick our heads up, make sure no one's shooting at us, and if it looks good, we walk on to the Empire State Building and Times Square. Then we get back on the train around 3:15 to beat the peak fares and the Friday afternoon rush for Long Island.
But it didn't work out that way. First, none of us woke up before 10. And it's raining. A deluge. The kind you don't get much in the Northwest. Thunder and everything.
So we're planning to just hang out. Do laundry. There's a housefull of DVDs here and plenty to read.
And then tomorrow ... we'll take Manhattan.
